Bottle label films are scuff resistant, resistant to mould, and will withstand retail display in an ice chest. High definition graphics stand out on the shelf and increase the perception of value. Available in white, opaque and transparent; design possibilities include "no look" labels and reverse printed graphics that may be viewed through the bottle.

"Cut & stack" film labels may now be spot patch applied to bottle neck and sides. Both glass and plastic bottles can achieve the same line speeds as with existing paper labels. If changing from wet-glue paper labels to film 57 -75% of the glue volume may be saved.

In comparison with pressure sensitive label application higher line speeds are possible and there is less material waste as a label release liner is not required as for pressure sensitive labels
